Australia’s U-17 head coach Trevor Morgan has announced his 20-player squad for their upcoming UEFA-hosted friendly tournament in Turkey next month.

The Joeys will open against the host nation (Turkey) on the 4th of March, take on Tanzania two days later and round out against Guinea.

Trevor Morgan has included thirteen players from A-League clubs, five from Europe and two from clubs in NPL New South Wales.

Fresh off becoming the youngest ever A-League debutant for Brisbane Roar, Izaack Powell has earned a call-up, as has former Perth Glory defender Riley Warland who’s currently in England applying his trade at Fulham.

Amongst the returning faces are Melbourne Victory’s attacking midfielder Birkan Kirdar and also Sydney FC youth goalkeeper Adam Pavlesic.

This is vital preparation for the Joeys ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru which will be held in October later this year.
