Graham Arnold has announced a 24-man squad for the Socceroos’ upcoming friendly against the Korea Republic on June 7 in Busan.

Six potential debutants feature in the squad including A-League based Brandon O’Neill, Andrew Redmayne and Lawrence Thomas as well as Brandon Borrello, Harry Souttar and Ryan Williams who play overseas.

O’Neill caps off a solid season at Sydney FC where his side came away with the Championship last season as he emerged as an integral player in the Sky Blues run to the Grand Final.

Both Redmayne and Thomas also enjoyed solid seasons between the sticks with the former playing a vital role in the A-League Grand Final emerging with the Joe Marston Medal.

Borrello returned from an ACL injury this season with an loan spell at Freiburg and has been rewarded after a great run of form.

Souttar had a fantastic season at Fleetwood Town in England’s League One while Williams had an impressive campaign at recently relegated Championship outfit, Rotherham United.

Among some of the others who have returned to the squad include Terry Antonis, Josh Brillante, Thomas Deng, Dimitri Petratos, Brad Smith, Matthew Spiranovic, Adam Taggart, Rhys Williams and Bailey Wright.

Williams returns after six years since his last international call-up while Smith, Spiranovic and Antonis will all return after long spells out of the national-team setup.

Some of the notable absentees include Mat Ryan, Milos Degenek, Trent Sainsbury, Aaron Mooy, Tom Rogic and Mathew Leckie.
