With only a handful of rounds left in the five major European leagues, there are a few title races that are all but won and done.

In Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain were millimetres away from securing its eighth title and sixth in seven years.

An unbelievably comical miss from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting prevented PSG from taking all three points and they had to settle for a draw.

For all the calamity, PSG are still likely to wrap up the title this weekend with a point against Lille securing them the league.

In Germany, Bayern Munich made a statement in Der Klassiker with a comprehensive rout of title rivals Borussia Dortmund. The 5-0 thumping sees the Bavarians go a point ahead of BVB on the table.

While it is only a small margin, the club is in form and with only six games remaining, the win could prove massive.

Barcelona are now 11 points clear in La Liga with the Catalans beating their nearest title rivals, Atlético Madrid, 2-0.

Atléti were reduced to 10 early with Diego Costa being sent off. However, it took Barça until the final five minutes to make their numerical advantage work with goals to Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi in the 85th and 86th minutes respectively.

Much like their counterparts in France, Juventus are a single point away from winning its eighth straight scudetto.

Meanwhile the title race in England is still up in the air with both Manchester City and Liverpool securing wins. City are two points behind the Reds but have a game in hand.
