Aziz Behich is set for a return to the Turkish Super Lig after a disappointing spell with PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie.

Behich joined the Dutch giants in August 2018 but has only featured six times this season, with four of those league appearances.

It is now reported that he will join an unnamed side in Turkey, where he spent five years with Bursaspor between 2013 and 2018.

The Socceroos’ left-back signed for Mark van Bommel’s side hoping for regular game time in one of Europe’s toughest leagues, however has found it extremely difficult to break through and has subsequently fallen in the pecking order.

Behich worked with van Bommel at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where the former Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AC Milan player was assistant to Socceroos manager Bert van Marwijk.

Fellow Socceroo Trent Sainsbury also joined PSV, signing in the same month as Behich. He too has found game time hard to come by, featuring just nine times this season across all competitions.

It was not the season the pair envisaged, however Sainsbury is likely to stay on at the club.

Behich will now turn his attention towards the national team after being selected for the upcoming friendly against Korea Republic on June 7.
