Fox Sports commentator and Langwarrin SC head coach Scott Miller has revealed his tip for who will play-off in the A-League Grand Final.
The former Newcastle Jets boss believes the Championship will come down to the hotly tipped Perth Glory and reigning champions Melbourne Victory.
“I’m pretty strongly opinionated based upon it will be a Melbourne Victory and Perth final,” Miller said on Evenings on FNR.
“I just see they have the quality individually that can win key games.”
Perth Glory have themselves a nine point buffer following their 2-0 win against Adelaide United which also marked Liam Reddy’s 9th clean sheet of the season.
In comparison to 2017/18 when the Glory conceded 50 goals – the team has shaved this down to 20 in a significant turnaround.
The A-League pauses for a week due to the international break with just five rounds to go before the finals series.
The gap between fourth and sixth is still tight though with three points separating the sixth placed Adelaide United and fourth placed Wellington Phoenix.
“The top six looks pretty much nailed on for me, I think the bottom four will continue to beat teams and potentially provide upsets but I don’t think it will have much of an influence come the end of the season.” Miller said.
