In the UEFA Youth League, 18-year-old Australian midfielder Antonis Martis and FC Midtjylland took on Manchester United coming away with a massive 3-1 win.

Martis started and got a full 90 minutes in the historic victory, which makes the club the first Danish men’s team to reach a UEFA club quarter-final since Brondby IF in the 1997 UEFA Cup.

They will take on FC Porto in the quarter-finals.

Overnight, Matildas 20-year-old midfielder Alex Chidiac came on in the 73rd minute as a substitute in Atletico Femenino’s 3-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.

The team take a valuable three points heading into the top-of-the-table clash this weekend against Barcelona at the Wanda Metropolitano.

So far more than 50,000 tickets have been sold for this match and more than 70 clubs from all over Spain have chartered buses going to the game.

Tickets for the general public are starting at just 5 euros (~$8 AUD).

Currently Atletico Femenino are first on 66 points, having remarkably won 22 games out of 23 and losing just one. Barcelona are trailing just behind them on 60 points, having won 19 games out 23.
