The squad will face Turkey, Tanzania, and Guinea in Antalya between March 4 and 8 as the first component of preparation leading into Peru.

Interestingly the Joeys head coach, Trevor Morgan, said he will select a team “primarily comprised of players that didn’t attend last year’s AFC U16 Championship in Malaysia,” meaning he’ll be looking to provide opportunities to some of the Australians abroad.

Countries such as Morocco, Cameroon, Uganda, Montenegro, Senegal, Angola, Nigeria, and Belarus will also participate at the friendly tournament in Turkey.

This preparation is vital for Australia’s Youth National Team heading into the FIFA U-17 World Cup later in October.
