Olympique Lyonnais Féminin are on track for a fourth consecutive UEFA Champions League crown after downing Chelsea in the semi-finals.

After winning the first leg 2-1 at home, Lyon managed a 1-1 draw in London in the second to set up a clash with Barcelona in the final.

Lyon’s success in the competition is unprecedented.

It can’t hurt to have 2018 Ballon d’Or Féminin winner Ada Hegerberg on your books, who has scored four goals in seven Champions League appearances this season, to go with her 19 goals domestically.

She has yet again helped Lyon reach the final of Europe’s most prestigious club competition, defeating Danish side Avaldsnes, as well as Ajax, Wolfsburg and Chelsea along the way.

Lyon face Barça on the 18th of May at Groupama Arena in Budapest in the highly-anticipated final.

If successful, it will be Lyon’s fifth Champions League triumph in eight seasons – the French giants clearly setting the benchmark for women’s football.
